Single painting critique...either send a photograph of your painting and receive a detailed written critique, or email the image as a jpeg and have your critique mailed back to you with encouraging hints on your style and handling of the medium/subject. Price £50
Collection of paintings critique... send up to 10 images in the same way as mentioned above and Margaret will critique the collection and give an overview of how to improve and develop future work. Work should be dated to establish what progress has been made to date. Critique is for a body of work and not individual pieces. Price £125
If you need help with your painting skills before taking a workshop,
then Margaret's one-to-one tuition is for you!
A two-hour session will provide private instruction in your particular medium/subject and a critique of your recent work. An ideal place to start if you are new to painting or just lack confidence.

We offer a bespoke picture framing service so if you have attanded a workshop you can take home your recently completed masterpiece in all its glory! We cater for both modern and traditional styles as well as paintings, we can frame memorabillia, certificates, photographs, football shirts and just about anything you can imagine. Bring your chosen medium, sketches & photos you would like to work from, paper towels, masking tape, drawing board and easel. Don't buy lots of new materials if you are unsure what you will need. Margaret can advise and save you wasting money! So email her and have a chat for absolutely free!
On an outdoor workshop or Paintaway, travel light....if you prefer to be seated, take a sketching stool, easel, light drawing board, and learn to cut back on your materials, if possible to fit into a shoulder bag.
Most of all, bring your smile, sense of humour, open mind and willingness to try new things and learn!
Our new Trip Management Service offers tutors and their students the benefit of our many years of organising painting holidays in the UK and abroad. We have an wide knowledge of the best areas to visit and paint throughout western Europe, with Italy a particular favourite, especially Tuscany and Venice. This service allows tutors to concentrate on the teaching aspect of a trip, safe in the knowledge that thedetailshave been taken care of.
